Trevor continues to do well. He has had such a miraculous recovery from a horrible accident. He is such a sweet happy boy now and very anxious to find a forever family he can call his very own.

Trevor is doing awesome and is now ready for adoption! He is able to walk, jump and run like a normal dog his age.

Hi everyone. My name is Trevor and I am an 18 pound Yorkie mix. I have had a rough time of it lately. I was a stray that was picked up by a good samaritan and taken to a vet clinic. I had been hit by a car and I could not walk. They kept me at the vet clinic for a couple of days because they said it appeared to be a pelvic injury. When I was not getting any better, they decided to send me to a specialist vet to see what they could do for me. I ended up having surgery to repair both sides of my pelvis. The left side had 2 screws in it and is doing good. My right side was in pretty bad shape as my pelvic bones were shattered. The vet put a rod and about 4 screws in there to see if it would heal or not. I can put weight on my left leg, but not on my right leg at this point.
After I was given some time to heal and no one claimed me, the vet clinic contacted the Angels to see if they could take me or else I was headed to a shelter. Well the Angels are so kind and caring they showed up right away to get me.
I have settled nicely into my foster home, but I still have more visits to see the vet and I need rehab to get me walking again. I am a lucky guy since I have the Angels watching out over me and taking care of me. The Angels could really use some help though with all the medical bills to help me and all the other kids like me. Can you please help the Angels?

IPPRA DOES NOT SHIP ITS DOGS. Please be advised that we do not transport. You will be responsible for coming to pick up your new dog on adoption day. The general location for each foster dog is listed in its profile. Preference is given to local applicants. Our Special Needs dogs (medical issues, seniors, puppy mill rescues, emotional issues) must be adopted close to their foster homes.
PLEASE NOTE - There are NO exceptions to filling out an application. Our dogs are in private foster homes, not a shelter facility. All of our rescue dogs are altered, up to date on vaccinations, flea-free and on heartworm prevention. We check references and do a home visit. Only an approved application may adopt one of our rescue dogs.
