Hi! My name is Buddie and I am a 5 year old 10 pound Yorkie. My foster mom says I am a very good boy overall. I enjoy being with my people, but I would prefer it if they could keep their hands on me at all times! Mom laughs at me when she is not petting me and I voice my displeasure and talk to her. I do not get mean with her; I just think she needs to know that I want to be the center of attention. I enjoy curling up on the bed with dad when he is sleeping.
I like to go outside and do my business, even when it rains that does not bother me. I do stay in a crate when mom and dad are gone because of the other dogs here, but I really think I would prefer to have the run of the house. I get along ok for the most part with the other dogs that live here, but my favorite one is the puppy because we play together. I get a little upset with some of the others at times if they get in my way. Mom said because of this that I would probably do better in a home where I am the only dog and I do not have to vie for attention from my people.
I like to go on car rides and I walk very nicely on a leash so I am ok to go to a home without a fenced in yard.

IPPRA DOES NOT SHIP ITS DOGS. Please be advised that we do not transport. You will be responsible for coming to pick up your new dog on adoption day. The general location for each foster dog is listed in its profile. Preference is given to local applicants. Our Special Needs dogs (medical issues, seniors, puppy mill rescues, emotional issues) must be adopted close to their foster homes.
PLEASE NOTE - There are NO exceptions to filling out an application. Our dogs are in private foster homes, not a shelter facility. All of our rescue dogs are altered, up to date on vaccinations, flea-free and on heartworm prevention. We check references and do a home visit. Only an approved application may adopt one of our rescue dogs.
