UPDATE: Sept

Here it is the end of summer and I am still waiting to have my surgery. I am at a different foster home now and there are lots of other furkids to play with. I love to play but I get tired quickly because my liver does not work properly. I have to eat a special food and it is not too bad but the medicine I take after I eat tastes better than the food.

I really enjoy the yard but I cannot stay out too long because my body can't handle extreme temperatures, hot or cold. Once again, it is because of my liver shunt and I sure do wish I could get the surgery so I could do all the same things the other furkids can do.

Would you please donate to the angels so I can get well? Even a few dollars could make the difference. My foster mom says I am doing well right now but it is one day at a time until I get my surgery.

Thank you for reading my story and puppy kisses to you for helping me.

Here I am a sweet 10 month old yorkie. I use to live in a nasty dirty place and lived in a crate. A couple ladies came and got me out. What a day that was. I went for a ride in the car, got a haircut and a bath. I smell so pretty now. My new parents quickly found out I could climb any gate or x-pen they put me in.

They then noticed I was having vision problems, here we go back in the car to another strange place. Mom called it the vet’s office; I was not real pleased with them they poked and prodded me all over. Now for the bad news my blood work was crazy 35000 white blood count which means a nasty infection somewhere. Doc said it was in my kidneys. He also told my new Mom he thought I might have a liver shunt. I took my medicine for a week and went back to see the Doctor. Poked and prodded again my white cells and other numbers have started to come back in line, the Doctor saved the worst for last, “Yes, I have a Liver Shunt !” I now have more medicine to take and nasty food to eat. In 8 weeks I have to go back for more poking and to see if surgery is an option.

In two weeks the Angels have spent over $600.00 already with more bills to come in. Liver Shunt surgery will run around $3000.00  I’m really glad to be out of that nasty place and at only a few months old I do not want to die. If you can help with my medical expenses please donate to the Angels.  Donations are tax deductible and you can take it off your taxes next year.
