We are very sorry to say that all of our foster homes are currently full and we cannot accept any Yorkies at this time.  Feel free to check back often to see if this message has been removed.

If you are willing to hold off for a awhile to surrender your Yorkie, you may feel free to complete our surrender form to be put on our waiting list so that as soon as one of our foster homes open up, we will be able to accept your Yorkie in our organization.   Continue below to complete a Surrender Form.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Since Yorkies take preference over any other toy dogs, we are not able to take in any other breeds until further notice and then only on a case by case basis.

You may also check other rescue organizations for assistance.

 To Surrender your Yorkie

As a Rescue Organization, we understand that sometimes life changes and forces us to make decisions about our precious pets leaving us with few options.  We know this is a hard decision to make and try to make it as easy as possible on all parties.  Coming here to a Rescue was the best decision you can make as we will find the best home for your little one.  We thoroughly screen all adoptive families and do a home visit.

Due to our limited resources of foster homes and the frequency of our campaign to save Puppy Mill Yorkies, IPPRA requires a donation of a set surrender fee at the time of relinquishment by owners.  This is to help offset our vetting costs of the owner surrenders we take in. The following fees are required of persons wanting to surrender a non Yorkie:

Surrender Fees:

  • $30.00 per dog/puppy over 12 weeks or under 5 years of age
  • $50.00 per dog over 5 years of age

If you need to surrender a Yorkie or a toy dog under 15 pounds, please fill out the below information.  This information will allow us to place your dog in the best possible foster home. We will get back with you as soon as possible to answer any questions you may have about the process and make arrangements.

You MUST supply a copy of your Yorkie's/Dog's Vet records in order to surrender tour dog to us.

If we have the room in our foster system, we will take a non Yorkie but if it is a breed we can not accept, we will direct you to one of our breed specific contacts for help.  If we are able to help, we may require you send us a picture of the dog you are surrendering.

We can not accept the following breeds: Lhasa Apso, Jack Russell Terriers, Rat Terriers, Toy Fox Terriers, Miniature Pinchers.  If you are not sure of your mix breed, we will ask for a picture.

All fields are required.  If you do not fill out ALL the fields, your surrender request cannot  be processed.
